About this charming old home
In 2002, we decided it was time to buy a building for our business.
We were lucky to find that the historic Patrick Ward home, located at 511 South Main Street in Springville, was for sale before it was listed. It took us about 3 minutes to decide this was a perfect home for our business. The charm and quirkiness called our names .
The home was built in 1900 by Patrick Ward, who was sent here by the
railroad to complete rail lines through this area, and is protected by
the Utah Historical Association. We think it's a treasure. We
improved the wiring, re-textured and painted the walls and pulled up
dark and musty carpeting to find beautiful fir floors. We had them
sanded, and Kenny stained and finished them on his hands and knees. We
also added central air conditioning, replaced the roof and chimneys,
and added a sprinkler system. Other than that, the home remains very
much the home it was in 1900.
A lot of our
customers initially come to see the house; enjoy their visit and become return repeatedly.
